I believe it gives as accurate a reading as any other method. I'm having
trouble with the "both before and after his adrenal surgery". Does he
have both adrenal and insulinoma? I got my materials from Wal-Mart. I
got the TheraSense FreeStyle blood glucose meter. I think it is better
because it takes just a tiny amount of blood to run a test. It cost $68
but had a $40 rebate on it. Once you have the meter, all you will need
to replace as you use them up are the test strips. I keep a little
booklet with his readings in it so I can show it to his vet when he goes
in for a checkup.
