Subject: Re: hind leg weakness

I hate to say this but I been going through the exact
same symptoms with 2 of my ferrets starting a couple
of months ago, expcept they were better at eating...

We tested for everything from ADV on down, and
nothing. Nothing on xrays or blood work. Hind end
paresis, increasing weakness, and Issac finally had a
terrible time breathing. After having him on oxygen
for 5 days we finally put him down, and it turned out
to have been very agressive class four lymphoma.

At that point hoped it was just conincidence, and that
Bella only had a back injury but she is also failing
greatly in last week and don't expect her to live
more than a week or so as her breathing is also
becoming labored.

These are/were both young, healthy breeder ferrets
previously, and were not caged together. I am,
needless to say, just sick...the only thing I can
suggest is supportive care until they give up.
