I certainly would NOT give slippery elm bark while treating
ulcers. As discussed before, slippery elm coats the stomach
and can prevent absorption. Using slippery elm, in my mind, is
a last resort, for either a ferret with chronic tummy
problems, or in our case, a very old ferret who had ALREADY
been treated for ulcers and still had some digestive issues.

Please give the ulcer meds time to work, and you may not even
NEED the slippery elm.
