Subject: Okay to give CDV when labs are off?

Girlie is my 2 1/2 y/o "mystery" ferret and is scheduled for
her distemper vaccination this Friday. it was due a few months
ago, but her vets were concerned about giving it at the time.
She is currently being pretreated w/ Children's Benadryl.
Bloodwork was done 2 1/2 weeks ago because she was drinking
lots more/more frequently for 2 1/2 weeks, her appetite had
dwindled and she was sleeping way too much (again). She
doesn't seem to be drinking near as much or as often, but her
appetite is still less than it had been and she's still
sleeping more than usual. She's lost some weight over the past
month, but is still a big girl at 2 lbs 15 ounces. I've
included the abnormal values below, based on Idexx's Ferret
Profile. I haven't been able to get in touch with her regular
vet this week, who wants to repeat her labs in 2 to 3 weeks
and is concerned with the elevated TP, HCT and Calcium. He
mentioned Hypercalcemia and Paraneoplastic Syndrome. I've read
up on Hypercalcemia but thought I'd wait until more was known
before I started learning/worrying about the other.

If anyone thinks she shouldn't be vaccinated right now, please
let me know. I don't want to make a mistake and she's been
through enough already. She had a rough start from the
beginning as a pet store "biter". Nobody knew she was deaf.
Everyone thought she was a "bad" ferret and treated her
accordingly. Btw, the "urgency" in getting her vaccinated now
is due to guests that will be arriving on the 26th, from an
area in TX that had a distemper outbreak about a month ago.

Abnormal labs:

ALKP 7 (L) 14-144
TP 6.4 (H) 4.3-6.0
Glob 2.7 (H) 0.2-2.4
Glucose 101 (L) 120-144
*2 1/2 hr fast
Calcium 10 (H) 7.6-9.6
HGB 19.9 (H) 12-18
HCT 58.0 (H) 43-55
Monocytes 7 (H) 0-1
Absolute Monocyte 245 /uL

Thanks very much.
