Subject: Re: Bladder stones

My ferret went through a very similar situation as yours is now going
through. He had a very severe blockage due to bladder stone. They
couldn't even use a catheter dur to the blockage. My vet preformed an
operation that they use on cats by creating a second urination hole.
He opened up his urethra below his penis and created a permanent
opening. He flushed out the remaining stones and my ferret is doing
great. He has no problems urinating and shouldn't have anymore issues
with bladder stones.
