Subject: Question about IBD recovery time
First of all, a big thank you to all who responded to my questions about
ECE, IBD and lipase values. (Dr. Burgess and Dr. Williams in particular).
Fig has been on pred for 6 days now. There appeared to be steady inprovement
over the week. I was sure it was too soon to see any return of muscle mass,
but it felt encouraging. Today though, I let her out and she just flopped
her rear to one side and ran across the floor using only her front legs and
dragging her rump. After seeing her regain some strength, this was really
discouraging. My vet does not know much about IBD so I wanted to post here
to ask, if indeed it is IBD, how long should it take before she shows real
improvement? (I suppose that depends a lot on the severity, but a rough
guess would help)
