Subject: Possible ill ferret

Ferret is male, 5 months of age, fixed. Ferret shows sudden
lethargy and general listlesness. No crusting around eyes or mouth.
No abnormal stool or urine, no vomitting. No wax (signifying mites)
in ears. No overt labored breathing. No changes to diet or
environment. Other animals in house are three older fixed male cats.
Only recent event was ferret being punished by extended stay in cage
for misbehavior. Ferret had free run of house since being purchased
and was placed back in cage with food and water for a day.
Prior to this he did all the things ferrets do (Socks behind the
stove, chase the cats, pop and leap at things like a clown, etc). Now
he lies around a lot and seems inclined to lay on the bathroom floor
in the corner. Any advice would be helpful. Also, any vets in the
Radcliff/ Fort Knox area of Kentucky (or anyone on this list)
familiar with ferrets would be helpful. Please msg the actual owner,
my GF (Andrea) on Yahoo (emerald_eyed_black_panther)
Thank you

Rick
