Subject: Re: cataracts

It seems to me you take great care of your little rascal. I have no first
hand experience with blind ferrets but have read up on them and they do very
well with blindness. I'd like to add especially in a loving environment. I
worked in an animal shelter where essentially nobody but me was daring
enough to clean this one blind cat's cage. She was so terrified she tried to
attack anything that came near. After working with her for a while a blind
kitten arrived at the animal shelter and I immediately took her home and
raised her with a lot of love. She showed completely no signs of fearor
agression. We had to keep a close watch on her because she got herself into
some wild predicaments. Your sweetheart is gradually losing sight but knows
he is in the same loving care he's always been in. He'll do fine, but good
luck to you. It is sad to see a good friend go blind.
