Subject: When to worry about vomiting?

Hello! I'm trying to figure out when to worry...

On Tuesday, I adopted 2 male ferrets from the animal rescue league.
I wasn't planning to adopt them, but they are just the sweetest
guys. They were checked out by the vet there and were declared
fit. Wasabi is 3.6 years old and a rolly-polly 4 pounds. He was
given his distemper shot just before we left. This is Wasabi's
third adoption. The last family had him for more than a year before
they moved.

It is now Friday morning and I went to let them out of their cage
when I noticed what looked like vomit in the cage... very watery.
Then, I saw Wasabi doing the dry heaves. He then went and drank
some water, and went to the litter box. I don't if what was there
was his or not because I hadn't cleaned the box yet this morning.
But, he sounded very... juicy.

I don't think that an upset stomach is worth flying off to the vet
for... but when should I start worrying? I'm thinking that he is
just stressed. He is in a new home, with two ferrets he has never
met. That would be enough to make me sick too. But, how long can I
expect him to be this way? When should I cross to the vet stage?

I've put him in a smaller cage by himself for now, so that I can
make sure that he is eating and going to the bathroom. I also gave
him some hairball stuff to make sure it isn't a hairball. How much
of that should I give him? Is there anything else I should be doing?

Thanks!
Renee
