Subject: blood blisters
I was at my nearby vet's today getting distemper shots for my 4 (all went
well!) and the vet, who does not have a wide experience with ferrets, asked
my opinion about a ferret he had just seen.
The ferret may be showing early symptoms of adrenal, hairloss on tail, but
is otherwise active and healthy. Except he keeps getting little blood
blisters that show up on various parts of his body. They break open, scab
up, and disappear. There are no signs of scratching or other trauma, and
the ferret seems unperturbed by this, though the owners are concerned.
Anyone have any idea of what may be causing this or what avenues to persue?
