Dear Ulrike:
I have reviewed your radiographs - you have done a very good scanning
them, and all of the significant detail appears to be preserved.
There appears to be increased density immediately anterior to the
heart on the lateral view, but it is difficult to ascertain it on the
ventrodorsal view (although it appears to be on the right.) There is
little change over a year's time, and indeed, it may be somewhat less
dense over time.
Cardiomyopathy? I think not - there is no evidence of cardiac
enlargement or fluid accumulation, and this would assuredly be
getting worse over time.
At this point, I am not sure if this is actually even a lesion of any
clinical significance.
With kindest regards,
Bruce Williams, dVM
