Subject: lumps on head smelly skin,any ideas?
I brought home a 3 year old male ferret a week and a half ago. He was
given up because he has unusual growths on his head. There are 5 of
them and 4 are a little smaller than pea size and the one above his
eye is approaching grape size. They haven't changed in size since I
brought him home. Our vet said how weird I've never seen this
before.His skin is red in places and smelly. I had a female ferret who
never smelled bad. I bathed her only once every 2 months. This guy I
bathed when he first came home because of the terrible smell, plus he
was truly filthy,poor guy. I then bathed him one week later because he
still has a bad odor and is still itchy. Any suggestions? His growths
are not hard and don't seem to bother him too much, and are sort of
skin colored with grey spots.WE alredy love this poor guy who is a rel
sweetheart and want to help him. Janie
