Subject: How much pred before it doesn't work anymore?
When I posted before I left out some details so here it is.
Tazzie is a young 3 years old and weighs 2 1/2 pounds. I space
his pediapred out every 8 hours so that he gets 1 & 1/2 cc
pred in the morning, 1 cc in the afternoon and 1 & 1/2 cc at
bedtime.
I called the pharmacy and they told me that the concentration
is 6.7mg per 5ml.
Tazzie has lympho and insulinoma and his back legs are
useless. He army crawls everywhere and has lost control of
both his bladder and bowel.
He still enjoys life so much and isn't ready to go. I'm not
ready either. Anyway, one vet told me that we had reached the
limit but another one told me that he felt we could still go
up another 2 cc's.
I just want to keep my little buddy as comfortable as long as
possible. Do you have any idea's on this.
