Subject: Side effects in Metronidazole??
Hi, my eldest male Taffy (approximately 1 1/2 years old) has had
symptoms similar to that of a Gastric Ulcer and we (the vet and I)
have just now started him on Metronidazole accompanied by Amoxi-
Drops. Well, he activities almost immediately slowed down and he
started laying around sleeping all of the time. I spoke with the vet
yesterday morning before I realized what was going on with him and
asked her about giving Pepto as I was advised by another friend so
she had me start him on half a CC twice daily with the Metronidazole
& Amoxi-Drops. His activity seems to have increased back to normal
today thankfully.
What I want to know is if having not given him the Pepto in
conjunction with the Metronidazole would cause him to feel sick and
lay around so much? He's been on the Amoxi-Drops before so I know
those won't make him sick. Any help or thoughts on this matter are
very appreciated! :)
