The babyfood we refer to is CHICKEN baby food, not all those other
weird ones. This is plain chicken baby food, no vegetables.

I typically recommend Gerber's 2nd stage or Beechnut. Judging from
your Yahoo ID name, you might not be in the U.S. and perhaps don't
have those brands available to you, though I'm sure there must be
something similar. Basically, you want a plain meat (chicken,
turkey, lamb) baby food with as little additional added as possible.

The reason for feeding chicken baby food is that it is bland, easily
digestible and high in meat protein. Yes, you could probably make
your own version that is better. Convenience is a factor too, and
for short term use, I see no problem with chicken babyfood.
