We too have Heinz, Gerber etc and no, there is no such thing as a
pure meat babyfood here. As I said, there are only things like
casseroles and pasta where the meat is a minor ingredient. I have
never ever seen such a thing here in NZ, in Australia and I don't
think in the UK either.
Baby humans get an omnivorous diet here, they are not considered to
be carnivores! And the commercially available baby food reflects that
belief. If you want to feed your human baby pure meat then you would
get some cooked chicken, lamb, beef or whatever and mash it up to a
soft paste or puree.
Hence my question - I have never seen a pure meat babyfood so I
thought maybe it was something else entirely, in the same way that
duck soup for ferrets isn't made out of ducks at all.
I think I'll stick with my microwave and the blender if I have to
deal with a sick ferret again. I knew that babyfood couldn't refer to
Kumara Casserole or Leeks'n'Lamb - not if you're feeding it to
ferrets!
Mind you, there's a lot of things on this list that I've never seen
or heard of - and I'm well travelled person in my second half-century!
