Subject: [Ferret-Health-list] insulinoma & seizures

For Gods sake, take her in and let the vet do whatever he can, X-Rays or
whatever. Don't beat around the bush any more. If you were the ferret what
would expect from your fuzzy human? I went through something similar with my
dog. Do yourself a favor and let the vet operate. The worst that could
happen is she passes on the table while trying to save her life or do you
want to hold her while while the vet puts her to sleep at your choice to do
it. Don't let her suffer and don't put yourself in the place the put her
down without spending every cent of money you have to save her. Normally
when they finally say we need to operate it's too late. Using medicine is
good but some things just have to be removed.
I feel your pain and wish you the best of luck.

Mystik is acting quite sick now. She is six and it has been about a year
since she was diagnosed with insulinoma. She didn't have surgery for it, but
has been on prednisone. She also has cataracts so I do not think she can see
anymore. The past few weeks she has been acting strange, having little
energy and getting disoriented.
