Heidi,
This is what we call the "flat ferret". It simply means your
ferret is taking a pause in her activity to think about what she is
going to get into next. My ferrets do it all the time. If your
ferret were alot older and she was laying around alot then I would
look for another cause but since she is only 8 months old it is
nothing to worry about.
