Subject: new companion

Last Thursday I lost my little Bogie unexpectedly. He was
insulanomic and had adrenal surgery about a month ago and was
recovery very well until last week when things changed rapidly. The
autopsy found very weak intestines and clots on the kidneys. It was
a difficult to let the little guy go.

That leaves me with Taz, who was Bogie's buddy since they were
babies. She seems to be doing ok but I've heard that they can really
be affected by the loss of their companion. A recent physical found
what is the beginnings of an adrenal tumor though she shows very few
symptoms. I'm thinking of having the surgery done sooner rather than
later.

My question is, would it be too soon to get her another buddy or
should I wait til after she has the surgery, which may be at the end
of this week. I'm concerned that she will stress when I bring a new
guy home, yet I also worry that she'll stress with out having Bogie
around.

All this stress!!! I'd appreciate any advice from anyone who has
gone thru this situation.
