My vet gives them at the same time also. I have asked her to give them
on separate visits only to lower the chance of reaction, and so we can
identify which is the problem if we DO get a reaction.
Dr. Purcell has nothing to say about it in her book, but in the
Hillyer/Quesenberry book, there is a passage in an article by Dr.
Quesenberry that says "It has been suggested that reactions are best
prevented with the administration of distemper and rabies vaccinations
separately at different visits...." (pg. 17) Note that she mentions
separate visits, but not a specific waiting period between them.
