I have heard that you need to wait 2 weeks between shots. Should I
wait or not? I want to be sure they are kept up to date as we have
already had 5 or 6 rabies alerts in our area since it warmed up.

While the need to wait is still anecdotal, I see absolutely no reason
not to wait - it is always better to be safe then sorry. Waiting
adds no additional risk of reaction, and if it helps to decrease the
risk at all, then it is certainly worth it.
