Subject: Getting ferret back to kibble

My 4 year old female had her spleen removed because of an
accident(stepped on) in March. When she was brought home she refused
to eat anything even her favorite treat raisins. So she was forced
fed a simple gruel of a cup of Total Ferret and two cups of water
blended. She was given 5 - 6 teaspoons of this 4 times a day. After
a couple of days she started licking it off the baby feeder/syringe.
After a couple days of that she started taking the gruel from a bowl,
still 5-6 teaspoons 4 times a day. This is where she has stopped, she
will not eat any kibble. The vet has checked her from head to toe and
can nothing wrong. She has had blood work(all normal ranges), x-ray
on her entire body(nothing abnormal), and even had her teeth examined
and cleaned. She perfectly heathly and happy, but getting overweight.
My question is does anyone have any ideas on how to ween her off the
the gruel? I would greatly appreciate any information at all.

Thanx,
