Frogs? Insects? Fish? Surely rats, mice and birds.

Hi Jen,
I'd be careful on the raw egg. While chances of poisoning are slim
(only about 1 in 10,000 raw eggs will have Samonella bacteria in it)
there exists the possibility that your ferret could get a bad one
eventually. I gave raw egg yolk to my male ferret once, and soon
after, he became deathly ill, vomiting repeatedly for 1 1/2 to 2
days. I had to give him Pedialyte to pull him through. The vet was
at a loss; she said it was possible he had gotten Salmonella
poisoning. We never determined for sure, but after that episode, I
always poach or soft-boil his eggs, feeding only the yolk part.
