Hiya,
I'm in Bristol, UK, and live with eight wonderful ferrets.
Our babies are fed on a mixture of ferret and premium cat
foods. This includes Marshalls, (bought mail order),
companions choice ferret food, totally ferret, frankie ferret,
Iams cat food, (generally chicken) and Eukabana. We mix it so
if one of the brands is discontinued they will find it hard to
notice the difference, or if one isn't in stock we can still
feed the others. They have this 4 days a week and the other
three they have fresh meat, mainly beef and chicken but they
have a certain passion for salmon and makeral, but we feed
this very rarely as most of you probably know, although good
for the coat fish doesn't half make their poop smell LOL!!!!
Up until last weekend had no problems whatsover health wise,
all were spayed/neutered at about 6 months and non have been
decented. We found, for anybody who read the post on my baby
with the hind leg weakness and the bleeding ear, that the leg
weakness was more than likely a consiquence of generall ilness
as it has returned to normal 100% :-) And that she has ear
mites so really there is no serious problem health wise :-)
Which is always great news :-)
We are quite happy with the ferrets diet, even if the meat
they eat costs us a fortune it's worth it and you can see it
in their shiney coats and happy, healthy eyes :-)
Dooks and wardances
Tilda and the crazy eight :-)
