Subject: Re: what are people feeding ferts around the world?

Hey! A post I can answer too! I have 6 ferrets and have had ferrets for
about 8 years now. Originally, when I got my first (Gus man), he was
eating rabbit food (I know...thank goodness I got my hands on him!). I
started feeding Marshall Farms as I didn't know any better. It wasn't
long however that I switched to Totally Ferret. The change in coat and
activity levels, along with the lack of stink, sold me completely. For a
number of years it was only Totally Ferret that was given to my crew.
Yes, ferret math hit me hard. Then when Performance Foods had problems
with their batches a couple of years ago, I re-thought where I was at
with food. Since that time, I've been mixing (in the event that I
couldn't get one of the foods) Totally Ferret , Eagle Pack Ferret Food
(take a look! It's so close to TF it isn't funny! www.eaglepack.com) and
ProPlan Kitten Chow (chicken). I'd say 40% TF, 40% Eagle Pack and 20%
ProPlan. The kids are thriving on it! I also make soup from TF and some
supplements; they get soup every day in the event that someone gets sick
some day. They're piglets! ;-) I've bought baby food more than once and
actually have 9 jars in my cupboard however not one will touch the stuff
despite having tried a number of things to entice them.

I find it so interesting to see/hear what others are feeding.
