Subject: chronically ill ferret - update
Hey, all! Just thought I'd update you on Kalli! She's still having
some trouble with stools, but she seems to me to be gaining some
weight around her ribs and doesn't feel as bony as before, which I
think is due to giving her the heavy whipping cream (thanks!). I
still need to get her into the vet to check for IBD, but the vet's
not in all the time, so it's been difficult. By the way, is the
biopsy for IBD a stressful ordeal for a ferret? I don't want to add
any more stress to Kalli's life, but I would like to check for it to
avoid any other health problems!
Also, I was wondering... I would like to find a good ferret food that
isn't so expensive, but without compromising the nutritional health
just to save money. Any ideas? What are some good kibble cat foods
to try? I want to keep all 5 ferts healthy, but would love to save
some money on food. And if you have any ideas on saving money on
litter it would be appreciated too. I currently use the Marshall's
litter. Thanks.
