Litter? Don't use it! An old newspaper folded in half fits in my
litter pans perfectly' Generally I separate the sections and the
pages so I can fold and stack pairs of sheets then if it's just a poo
on it, I lift out that sheet, fold and put in a plastic bag. When I
have company round I place a couple of layers of paper towel on top
of the newspaper so it looks "prettier" and sometimes I use a scented
babywipe underneath it, or put a few sprigs of fresh lavender at the
edge of the litter tray. They only stand on the paper for a moment
and even my albino never gets a smear of the ink on him at all. It
costs nothing for the paper and I don't have company round very often!
Plus it is VERY easy to see the colour and consistency and amount of
faeces and urine ...
