Subject: Intro and Questions
Hi
My name is Kelly and I am the new and very very novice owner
of 2 sweet little Ferrets.I got them this past Wednesday from
a pet shop were the owner was giving them and A Huge cage
away.
Seems she got them from a family that the mom had died and no
one wanted them.Well they are brother and sister and are a
year and a half old and have never been seperated
the little girl has a growth on her head right between her
eyes and the vet said it was nothing to be concerned about it
was just a growth but she looks terrible with it she also
walks with her back arched all the time and kind of swaggerys
when she walks,The little boy he is twice her size and is in
much better shape but his coat is very ruff and dry.The pet
shop owner said that the woman was feeding them stright store
brand cat food and that is all they ever ate.Well I bought
them ferret food and ferret treat BEFORE i left the pet store
and they are eating it but all they do is sleep and sleep
do y'all think it is because of the change of diet or because
they are so malnurished or do ferrets just sleep alot I have
no idea here LOL. Also how do I get my puppy to like them I
here all kinds of stories about them getting along great but
my puppy just barks and growls at them so I leave them in the
cage when he is in the house but would like to be able to
leave there door open so they can come and go as they please.
Any advice would be great
