Subject: ferret diet "a/d"
Part of our ferrets diet includes a cat food recommended by our vet for
one of our girls in particular (as she had her jaw broken when she was
with her previous owner and it was not tended to properly so she cannot
open her mouth all the way anymore). It is a moist canned food by
"Hills" and has liver, chicken, fish oil, taurine and vitamins in it.
She loves it and we mix it in with kibble for the others as well. As a
result of eating the moist food all the time her teeth are kinda bad but
the vet can't open her mouth really well to clean them either. So I rub
them with a cloth and she puts up with it pretty well.
