Subject: Re: EE info??

HI

My name is Ivy and I am not a vet, but I have a female ferret named Precious who also has EE. I believe that she was diagnoised almost three years ago. Precious in now five and doing really fine. Let me tell you she was a very sick ferret as she had runny stools and kept trying to yack.

She is now like a new ferret. We give her a drop of hydrocortizone twice a day. We tried her on the regular cortizone by mouth, but it just made her sick. Twice I brought her in to the vet for a cortizone shot but what I really needed to do was change her diet.

After a lot of research I put her on a turkey based cat food named Proplan turkey and barley. She likes it and it agrees with her. Also I give her some gerber turkey baby food when I give her meds. She has been really great. I hope this helps
