It's a possibility if there was contact with another ferret, either
by her or you. Did you bring a new ferret into the home a few days
before this started? Have you visited a pet store, handled the baby
ferrets and then came home and handled her before showering and
changing clothes? If the answer to these questions is no, then it's
unlikely it is ECE.

Hair loss can occur just about anywhere on the body as a result of
adrenal disease. Across the shoulders, down the back or on the rump
seem to be the most common areas, but it can also start on the head,
on the tops of the feet, in the groin area, anywhere!
And while females will often have a swollen vulva, that's not always
the case either. My Penny (female) ended up having a bilateral
adrenalectomy and never had a swollen vulva.
