Subject: insulinoma

I'm not quite sure how to respond to posts, so I'll try this and hope
that it works. First of all I want to thank everyone who wrote to me.
I don't feel so alone and helpless. I found out today that the cancer
has spread to his lungs and there is not much that can be done for
him now except to keep him comfortable, happy and totally spoiled
until his quality of life is not what it is now. The vet said she and
the other vets who saw the x-rays think it is either insulinoma or
lymphoma. He will be taking prednisone and an antiobiotic, as he
started sneezing today. I hope the prednisone gives him a little more
quality time. He was quite playful for a little while today, but he
seems to tire so quickly. This has happened so fast that I am having
a bit of trouble taking it all in and will just take one day at a
time. I'm so thankful this message board is here. I have never know
another ferret owner and it's such a blessing to know there are so
many other ferret owners out there who are so caring.
