Subject: Help - Lethargic, enlarged spleen, adrenal on Lupron

Hi,

Just got back from the Emergency vet where they told me to bring my
girl Nyla home since she is alert and eating/drinking. She has an
appointment first thing in the morning when my normal ferret vet gets
in.

The reason we took her in was because for the last couple of weeks
she has been a bit lethargic which we mentioned to our vet a week and
a half ago when she received her 2nd Lupron shot for adrenal. We were
told to keep an eye on her. Tonight when we let her out for playtime
she was extreamly lethargic. She just went straight to the ferret bed
under the coffee table and curled up. A little bit later she wandered
around, but she would take about 3-4 steps and then totally flat
ferret. She looks stoned.

Here's her history:
- 4-5 years old
- Has had bilateral adrenal surgery about 1 1/2 years ago with the
right being cryoed
- Started showing sign of adrenal a few months ago to which she had a
Tenn panel that came back positive
- Had first lupron depot in April
- Lethargy bagan toward end of April
- Had second shot of Lupron 1 1/2 weeks ago

At last vet appointment and tonights exam:
- Heart sounds good
- Lungs clear
- Temp normal
- stool and urine normal

The other thing that is very concerning is the size of her spleen. It
is very large and when she lays on her side it actually pokes out a
bit. You can feel it curve around her stomach. She had a laproscopic
biopsy on her spleen back in April because our vet felt that it was
large and a bit nodular in places. The biopsy came back negative for
anything abnormal.

I'm hoping somebody might be have an idea of what it going on. I'm
very concerned this could be addisons, but I don't know enough about
it. I'm sure my vet will do all she can, but I like to get other
opinions just in case.

Thanks,
Stephanie
