Subject: Response to Yoda's Bald Patch on his head
I recently posted about my boy Bandit, who started with a
bald patch on his head in the same spot you described. I
watched it for a bit and when it didnt grow back at the next
season. I also noticed thinning on the tops of his feet. Its
so hard to notice changes when they are gradual and you are
watching them everyday. He also started the walking around a
lot before peeing, (not straining, just walking around like he
was looking for the right spot).
Eventually his symptoms increased and it was an adrenal tumor
hiding under his liver which the first vet missed.
I am not a vet, but these symptoms of Yodas sound very
familiar to me.
The good news is that I got lots of good advice from everyone
here at FHL and his second surgery was successful. Although
the vet said he may never fully re-grow his fur, I am starting
to see re-growth in areas that were completely bare down to
the skin. His bald spot remains, but he is acting more like
himself . He just looks like a cute little old man with a
receding hair line.
