I'm not a vet, either, but... I can't agree with this. An experienced
ferret veterinary surgeon can remove the right adrenal gland
successfully and completely. We've had three ferrets have right
adrenals removed. Pertwee has been bilateral for over two years now and
is doing very well indeed. Podo had a large right adrenal carcinoma
which invaded the vena cava removed by ligating the vena cava. This was
done at the ripe old age of seven and a half. He's still here.

Lupron therapy masks symptoms. It does not cure the disease.
Successful surgery cures the disease. Lupron is a good choice, IMHO,
only if a ferret is not a good surgical candidate. Only your vet can
decide if a ferret is a good surgical candidate or not.
