Subject: [Ferret-Health-list] Re: prolapsed rectum and sugar

What happened was that they decided was that the prolapse had
been out for a long time, causing necrosis, which in turn made
him prolapse while under observation at the vet. They did a
surgery to remove dead tissue and stitched the prolapse back
in place. I got a call last night from my friend who told me
he is driving her bonkers as he feels well. Might be caused
from upset stomach, so they switched foods. Everything is
back to as normal as you can be around ferrets.
