Hi
I am a tech that works for a board certified veterinary ophtho.
Ferrets do really well blind. We do not recommend cataract surgery to
ferrets.
The surgery is not easy and ferrets seem to bleed more than dogs and cats.
Most ferrets do not seem to see any better after surgery anyway.
We see more ferrets for retinal degeneration than cataracts though.
Either way blind ferrets do great. Just don't rearrange stuff in the
house.
Good luck
