I agree with Patty (who is a health professional, BTW); your kit is
extremely unlikely to have died of sinus problems. There may be
a serious respiratory illness or canine distemper there, and
there is a risk to the ferrets and other ferrets and dogs of other
people who may purchase from them.

Look in your purchase papers for the breeder information and let
the breeder know what occured.

Also contact the office of your local state legislator. If you don't
have that info your local reference librarian and town hall will be
able to provide it. Find out which state department licences pet
stores in your state and call them so that an inspection can take
place.

A necropsy by a vet who is not beholden to the pet store would
have made sense, but given the current situation at least the
other things can be pursued.

Given the symptoms and death I strongly suspect that Canine
Distemper was the cause.
