Subject: Please help as soon as you can - Thank you

Hi all
I hoping some one could shed some light on something for me. My 6
1/2 year old ferret just had adrenal surgery about 10 days ago. I
didn't recieve any antibiotics for post surgery, but her scar is
healing up just fine. She looks OK, but she is "grinding her teeth"
when she is around food. She wants to eat, but can't get herself to
take it. I fed her duck soup before and after the surgery along with
her regular kibble. After the surgery, she has only gone to her
kibble the first couple of days. A few days after that I noticed the
teeth grinding and that she wasn't taking any kibble. I started her
on pepto Saturday, the 8th, .3 ml, 4 times a day and have been
syringe feeding her duck soup 4 times a day. I do not see the pepto
making her feel better. She still grinds her teeth the entire time I
feed her. She will take the soup from the syringe without a
problem. Also, she'd rather if I just went past her mouth and tounge
and just squirt it down her throat, she'll bite on the syringe if I
am not fast enough. I checked her mouth for sores and can't see
anything wrong. She is drinking well by herself. Her poops were
looking dark black-green and loose, but since the pepto are firming
up a little more. After I pumped food into her, she looked bright
eyed again and was looking for a treat.
I would like to take her to the vet tomorrow, but I can't see
my "ferret" vet, so I will have to pick someone out of the book. I'd
like to have some sort of knowledge as to what this could be and what
I need before I go. I was told this could be an ulcer from the
surgery. If so what kind of medications do I need? What kind of
tests do I need, if any? Could it be anything else? Please help as
soon as you can. I'd like to get her some relief and don't know
whether I can rely on tomorrrows DR (since I don't know who it will
be yet) for an answer.
