Scabies in the ferret usually presents as an attack on the root of the
toenails. It is often called foot rot. It is very rarely identified in a
scraping. The treatment consist of ivermectin (0.2-0.4 mg/kl SC) and
repeat every 14 days until clinical signs have resolved. Soak the feet
in warm water each day and gently scrape away the softened crust around
the nails. You need to be avare that you can catch it from your ferret.
I am not a vet.
