Arrrgghhhh! (Hitting own head) I should have thought of that
and the sling.
Here's how to make a pantyhose sling to take a handicapped
ferret for a walk:
Chose a sized based upon the size of the person. You can
color-code this by selecting different colors for people of different
heights. Lay the feet flat with one atop the other and sew
together into a flat hammock for under the ferret's stomach. Roll
the panty part of the hose and sew to make a handle. Place
under the ferret and provide enough lift that the ferret can "dash"
with you helping. This usually results in great joy. (Do be sure
to get an okay from the treating vet first.)
