Subject: Is tail curve a sign of problem after descent?

Hi - I recently had to have one of my ferrets descented because her
anal glands were repeatedly geting impacted, were very enlarged, and
seemed to make her feel unwell. And she sure hated getting them
squeezed! So the descenting itself went very well - very little
bruising, and thanks to good pain meds, she seemed to recover nicely.

But, for about 2 weeks afterwards, she was *very* bitey and rough in
her play (usually a sign she doesn't feel well), although this has
dissapated in the past week. I chalked it up to possible discomfort
during recovery, and the vet said that was likely. More worrisome is
that I've noticed that she now frequently holds her tail in a curve
to one side (parallel to the ground, just curved almost at a right
angle). Anyone think this might be a sign of nerve damage or pain of
some type? If so, what is there to do, if anything? Her 2 post-
operative checkups were fine, although I didn't think to mention it
to the vet.

Thanks much
Melissa
