Subject: Losing Weight
One of my little guys is losing weight. He has lost 1-2 oz. per month
since February. By July, he will be 2 lb, down from 2.5 lb in
February. At first I thought it was seasonal weight loss, but this
gradual and continuous loss has me baffled.
He went through a GI illness late last year (probably ECE), but
maintained his weight - even gained a little - throughout that. Now,
he eats and poops, runs and dances, seems completely normal except for
this weight loss. He's now just over 1 year old. He does have a
slight non-regenerative anemia - PCV 35-36 - but that doesn't seem to
slow him down. Everybody else is a healthy 2.5 lb and are maintaining
their weight.
Can anyone suggest why he might be losing weight like this, even though
he seems otherwise normal?
