Renee, the hypothesis had been that giving sugars might cause
the blood glucose levels to fluctuate too much. It's always been
a hypothesis, not a known thing for them as far as I can see.

The meds given (Pred and Proglycem) raise blood glucose
levels.

Unlike regular pancreatic tissue the insulinoma tissue is not
blood glucose responsive; it just keeps pumping out too much
insulin.

When insulinoma is advanced the diseased tissue can replace
or supress (or both) normal tissue, so the more advanced the
less likely that a yo-yo effect will happen.

Does sugar cause a yo-yo effect with early insulinoma? It may,
or it may for some individuals.

Is it possible to tackle advanced insulinoma differently than early
cases? Sure.

Years back we always used sugar throughout insulinoma.

Hypotheses change over time as more is known.

Rihgt now we have Warp who would already be dead a few
months if she didn't get sugars as well as her medications.
