Subject: Adding another ferret

Hi everyone, again! I want to thank everyone for responding to my
question re: getting another "buddy" for muddy. I took your advice
and took Muddy with me to the adoption agency and let him pick out
his "friend". Now, my question is: He and a little girl ferret (8
months old) took up with each other at the agency so we decided she
would be the one who comes home with us. I have her in another cage
for the time being but I let them out together to play. Muddy is
being so aggressive with her, to the point he is biting her on the
neck and dragging her around on the floor until she is crying out.
I know nothing about putting another ferret with one you already
have. Is this normal behavior, is he going to kill her, or what? I
am freaking out and my husband says " oh they are o.k." lol but
this doesn't seem normal. Muddy won't let her walk without pouncing
on her. Will someone please write me and let me know if this is
normal or not so I can have a piece of mind. Thanks so much for all
of your time writing to me.
