And, as I posted, my vet said it was fine for insulinomic ferrets
because there are no sugars in it. So, I guess a nutrition expert
would have to answer the question definitively.

I've never heard of fats or oils breaking down into sugars. I have
heard of starches doing that but I don't think there are any
starches in it.

Was your vet looking at a bottle at the time? Maybe it was confused
with something else. My vet looked at the actual bottle when he
made his comments.

I would be interested in a definite answer. I certainly don't want
to do anything harmful to my ferrets.

Does anyone know for sure?
