Subject: Tigger somewhat improving
I posted once a suggestion, to leave baby food in Tigger's cage
instead of her normal kibble. I have no idea how to get her to eat
her normal kibble, but here is something I did this afternoon.
I fed her from 300-430, and what I tried astonished me. I put a full
2.5 oz jar of Gerber's in the refrigerator around 12 pm. I took it
out around 3 pm, and opened it at 330. I sat Tigger on the bed with
me, sat the baby food down on the bed next to her with a bowel of
water. She ate the Gerber's food right out of the jar. She let me
know once that she had to use the litter box, but she ate the baby
food right from the jar! No spoon or anything. She didn't drink any
water, so as she was eating, now and then I would put a teaspoon of
water in the baby jar. She would lick up the water and then continue
eating. She ate a little over 1/2 a jar this way! If she could eat a
full jar this way in a few hours, I wonder if it would be worth
setting a jar of baby food in the cage with her. I mean she would
still be watched and monitored for any improvement, and normal kibble
would stay in there as well. But she ate the food right out of the
jar this time, no coercion was necessary. She had a total of 1.75 oz
of baby food (ate down to the beginning of the blue label) and drank
close to 25 ml of water this feeding hour. She stopped eating around
4 pm, and she curled up on my shoulder for 30 minutes.
