Subject: Foaming or drooling from mouth

Hi am hoping someone can give me some advice. I have a 2 year old
male. For the past 2 days I noticed he had what looked like drool or
foam coming from his mouth, not anything excessive (small amount).
He is up to date on shots. The vet is suspecting stomach ulcers, he
said he cannot be sure but to put him on 0.3 ml of amoxi drops and
0.3ml of metronidazole, plus 1.0ml of pepto bismol for 10/days. Does
this sound alright, he seems fine otherwise but he is drinking more
than normal. Last night for the 1st time he seemed to be grinding
his teeth only for a very short time. The vet said that is a sign of
pain now I am very upset if he is hurting. He has lost 9 oz in about
10 months he was 2.14 but the vet said he is still at a good weight
and not to worry but I could bring him in for a weight check every so
often. Snowball is acting normal in every other way. Is it ok to
give these meds without a proper diagnosis, will it harm him if he is
just having a bad 2 days and does not need meds. Thanks to all
