Subject: Swollen vulva - seasonal?? Or incorrect information from a
vet?

I have been calling vets in a big city about four hours away from me
as there are no vets in my area who have been successful in adrenal
surgeries. Today I got a callback from a vet who came highly
recommended from a shelter in that city.

I described my girls symptoms ( swollen vulva - increasingly swollen
over a month, itchiness, demanding licking behaviour ) his
response? "Swollen vulva? Thats all? Why do you want to do surgery?
Sometimes thats seasonal." Seasonal? I have never read anything
about seasonal vulvular swelling.

He suggested that I wait until the fall to see if it goes away on its
own. Couldn't this be harmul? Anemia etc... I would be willing to
wait until fall as I am unemployed and the 700-1200 dollar estimates
I am getting are way out of my reach. But I don't want to harm her
either and will find a way.

She is spayed ( incomplete spay showing up three years later??
Unlikely right? ) about three years old.

Any advice would be appreciated,
Confused,
