Subject: Re: Swollen vulva - seasonal?? Or incorrect information
from a vet?

Meighan, have a local vet draw blood for a Tennessee Panel (U
of TN). This test shows the adrenal hormones and will
indicate adrenal problems. It costs about $100, but then a
vet visit will cost about $40, so plan on spending $150 or
more (depending if sedation is needed). This test will let
you know if adrenal is the problem, and then you can go from
there. $700-$1200 is really high for an adrenal surgery. My
vet, who I consider pricey, but good, charges $450-485
depending on whether different sedation is necessary. f
course, the money is worth it if the vet is good and your baby
is saved. JMHO
Gail
wait until fall as I am unemployed and the 700-1200 dollar
estimates
I am getting are way out of my reach. But I don't want to
harm her
either and will find a way.

She is spayed ( incomplete spay showing up three years
later??
Unlikely right? ) about three years old.
